(Grades K-6)  ALL ABOARD!  The Polar Express is making a stop at Brighton Community Ed for a one night showing.  Wear your pajamas, bring your favorite blanket and come along for the ride.  We will have pizza, popcorn & treats along with hot chocolate as we watch the Polar Express movie on the big screen.  Other magical surprises await the evening... space is limited so be sure to get your polar express ticket before they are all gone.  Parents this is a drop off event so you can go have your own magical evening too.

Spring Rec Travel Soccer League - 12U & 14U

Note:  This only for participants who want to play travel/competitive Recreational soccer.

The B.A.R.C. rec travel youth soccer program is perfect for soccer players of all skill and experience levels.  This league will give players the opportunity to participate in competitive travel soccer. Each team will play four home games and four away games.  Away games are played in communities within 45min of Brighton.   All teams will play eight (8) games throughout the season, with a majority being played on Saturdays/Sundays.  Some weekday games are possible.

Grab a partner and join us for 6 weeks of ballroom and social dancing!  During this course you will learn popular dances including the fox trot, waltz, rumba, cha cha and samba.  Impress your friends and family at weddings, parties, graduations or any other social gathering.  Leather sole shoes preferred, bring a water bottle and come prepared to move.

(Ages 18 & under)  Learn from professional music educator and producer Scott Christopher.  Lessons are 6 weeks long and available Tue, Wed, or Thurs at Buzztop Studios between 10:00am -7:30pm.  Instructor will contact student to schedule lesson dates and time slot after registration.  Learn the basics of beginning drums from professional music educator, producer, sound engineer, and performer, Scott Christopher.  One-on-one, 1/2-hour private lessons tailored to you, the individual and designed to get beginning students playing music in the least amount of time.  

Students learn basic rock and pop beats, popular songs, time signatures, how to read drum music, and drum specific techniques.  Our lessons are fun, energetic, interesting, engaging, and relaxed.


Motivated students can opt in to perform with other young players in our Live Rock Band classes.

All lessons are taught at the Buzztop Studios Music School, our comfortable, professionally equipped studio is located in Hamburg Township (9683 Kress Rd, Lakeland). $10 book fee due to instructor at first class.

(Ages 50+) This total body workout includes: cardiovascular, floor exercises, weight training and yoga pilates.  Students work at their own level and pace.  Body Spot Silver is designed to strengthen the heart and lungs, tone and increase body strength, and improve flexibility and stability.  Bring a set of hand weights and an exercise mat.  Doctor's release and liability waivers are required before attending the class (see Senior Center front desk for necessary forms).  MUST be a current member of the Brighton Senior Center to attend class.  Taught by Judy McGowan.


Classes are available on Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:00-10:30am at the Brighton Senior Center.


**Starting March 16th through April 29th we will be doing a $3.00 per class fee ONLY!  Due to COVID limitations space is not guaranteed!  It is recommended that you pre-register for each class.  See the Senior Center Front Desk for sign up sheet and to pay!  Unfortunately we are not offering refunds for missed classes.

BRIGHTON TRAVEL BASKETBALL CLUB MISSION, ORGANIZATION, PLANS.Mission:Our mission is to establish and improve each individuals social, academic and athletic behaviors and skills. We will emphasis the importance of teamwork and fundamentals on the basketball court along with the following:The value of individual excellence in the classroomThe need to be respectful and a good citizen both athletically, personally and academicallyIndividual and team growth through participation in Brighton Travel BasketballOrganization:Brighton Travel Basketball was formed during the 2003 season and established club officers, policies and procedures. The coaches and officers meet semi-annually to review these policies and procedures. In addition, the club proactively seeks assistance and input from local school coaches.Funding:Funding for Brighton Travel Basketball will come from player fees, our annual Brighton Spring Basketball Classic held each March, the winter BTB basketball clinic and any available fund raisers. These fees will offset the costs associated with gym rental, tournament entry fees, uniforms, and equipment. Players and/or parents who may be in need of financial assistance to meet the annual player fee should advise Brighton Travel Basketball. Every effort will be made to provide financial assistance to those players and/or parents who request and establish the need for financial assistance.Teams:Brighton Travel Basketball has been organized to create a competitive basketball environment for local area youths. Brighton Travel Basketball will hold annual tryouts each season in order to form new teams for the following grades: 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th. The girls team tryouts are typically held in mid-September. The boys 4th-6th grade tryouts are typically held in early November and the boys 7th & 8th grade tryouts will be held in early December. The girls season starts in late September and depending on the age group of a team, the boy’s season typically runs from mid-November to the end of March. The 7th & 8th grade teams will not compete in games during the public middle school basketball seasons. Coaches for Brighton Travel Basketball Teams will be selected by the officers and previous season coaches, and will be reviewed annually.6.3.6
